TARANA<\/strong> TURAN<\/strong> RAH<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u0130<\/span><\/span>ML\u0130, Azerbaijan\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Tarana Turan Rahimli<\/span><\/span> is an Azerbaijani poet<\/span><\/span>ess<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>writer, journalist, translator, literary critic, teacher, academic, is an active member of the International Literary Agency in Turkey and Azerbaijan.<\/span><\/span> She is a PhD in Philology, Associ<\/span><\/span>ate Professor of Azerbaijan and World Literature Chair of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, author of 7 books and more than 400 articles. <\/span><\/span>She is the editor and reviewer of 20 <\/span><\/span>monographs and poetry books. Her <\/span><\/span>work<\/span><\/span>s have<\/span><\/span> been published in more than 15 Western and Eastern countries. <\/span><\/span>Her poems <\/span><\/span>were published in Azerbaijan, England, Italy, Spain, <\/span><\/span>USA, <\/span><\/span>Germany, Belgium, Chile, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tatar<\/span><\/span>i<\/span><\/span>stan<\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Uzbekistan and <\/span><\/span>in <\/span><\/span>other countries. <\/span><\/span>Including her poems <\/span><\/span>and articles have been published in many international sites around the world, on periodicals and in anthologies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tarana Turan Rahimli was born into an educated family on February 20, in 1970, in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. During 1977 and 1987 she studied at the secondary school number 48 in Baku and at the secondary school number 1 in the city of Barda. \u00a0In 1990 she entered the faculty of philology of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and graduated from University in 1995. \u00a0In 2004 she defended candidate of sciences on the theme of \u201cCreative activity of Kamal Talibzade\u201d, and got the degre<\/span><\/span>e of candidate of philology. <\/span><\/span>Just during the studentship years (1991-1994<\/span><\/span>) she worked at the newspaper \u201c<\/span><\/span>Ganj muallim\u201d (Young teacher) of ASPU, after graduating the university she worked as the responsible secretary of that newspaper (1994-2000) ,<\/span><\/span> then she became editor-in-chief \u00a0( 2000-2007) \u00a0of that newspaper. \u00a0Meanwhile, \u00a0during 1996-1997 she was the responsible secretary of <\/span><\/span>the newspaper \u201c Zaman\u201d ( Time) <\/span><\/span>, in 1999 she was the edi<\/span><\/span>tor-in-chief of the newspaper \u201c<\/span><\/span>Azerbaijan fighters\u201d, \u00a0during 2007-2008 \u00a0she became the editor-in-chief of the newspaper \u201c T<\/span><\/span>ahsil problemleri\u201d ( Educatio<\/span><\/span>nal problems) . Since 2003 she is the teacher of the department of \u201cThe literature of Azerbaijan and world\u201d of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, since 2008 she is in the post of a head teacher at the same department, since 2011 she is assistant professor of that department. Starting from 2012-2015 academic years she is the assistant professor of the department of \u201cWorld Literature\u201d of ASPU. \u00a0At the same time she teaches Japan<\/span><\/span>ese<\/span><\/span> literature at the faculty of Oriental studies of Baku State University. Since 1992 she is the member of Azerbaijan Ashugs Union, (on poetry), since 1994 she is the member of <\/span><\/span>Union of Azerbaijani writers, <\/span><\/span>since 1998 she is \u00a0the member of the Council of Constitutor of World Young Turkish Writers , since 1999 she is th<\/span><\/span>e member of Union of Azerbaijani writers , <\/span><\/span>since 2007 she is the member of \u00a0well-known honorabl<\/span><\/span>e organization in Turkey \u00a0Cyprus<\/span><\/span> Balkans, – The Organization of Eurasia Turkish Literature . \u00a0She is the staff member of academic journal of <\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>History and thinking\u201d of Turkish World Studying Organization.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She is the founder of literary unities as \u201c Qar Chichey<\/span><\/span>i<\/span><\/span>\u201d ( Primrose) \u00a0and \u201cAddimlar\u201d ( Steps) \u00a0( ASPU), like the member of Union of World Young Turkish Writers she took an active part in compiling and publishing the poetry Anthologies titled as \u201cQar Chicheyi\u201d , \u201cAddimlar\u201d and \u201c The voice of Turk<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span> . \u00a0She researches in the field of Azerbaijan literature, literature of Turkey, The literature of Bati Trakya, Russian literature, Japan<\/span><\/span>ese<\/span><\/span> literature, the literature of western countries, \u00a0Azerbaijan<\/span><\/span>i<\/span><\/span> literary critic. \u00a0She is engaged in giving lectures on the history of Azerbaijan literary critic, literary relations, literature of Western countries, literature of East Slavic people, literature of Japan, Modern Azerbaijan<\/span><\/span>i<\/span><\/span> literature, \u00a0the literature of Turkish people. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Including she is engaged in writing poetry and prose, literary criticism, publicism and translation. \u00a0Her works have been published in Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Kyrg<\/span><\/span>yzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Italy<\/span><\/span> Iran<\/span><\/span>, Chili, Russia, En<\/span><\/span>gland<\/span><\/span> and other <\/span><\/span>countries. She was the participant of a number of international symposiums, conference, and literary events. \u00a0She is the author of six books and more than 400 articles. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 2007 Tarana Turan Rahimli got the prize of \u201cQelem\u201d (Pen) of the competition held by \u201cCaucasus Media\u201d on the occasion of National Media <\/span><\/span>and 170 yearly anniversary of Hasan \u00a0bey <\/span><\/span>Zardabi. \u00a0In 2007 she got the message of thanks by the Dean\u2019s office of the faculty according to the results of the examinations held by her.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 2009 she was honored with the prizes of \u201cThe scientific secretary of the year: by the Organization of New Writers and Artisans. In 2012 in Turkey she got Honorary Decree of Euras<\/span><\/span>ia Turkish Literatures of Cyprus<\/span><\/span> Balkans, the Honorary Decree of Gediz U<\/span><\/span>niversity of Turkish Republic, <\/span><\/span>Official thanks of Izmir <\/span><\/span>Konak \u00a0<\/span><\/span>Municip<\/span><\/span>ality. Including she was honored with Honorably D<\/span><\/span>ecree of Istanbul Tuzla Municip<\/span><\/span>al<\/span><\/span>i<\/span><\/span>ty<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 2013<\/span><\/span> at Baku gathering of <\/span><\/span>\u00a0she got the prize of \u201c<\/span><\/span>For service to Turkish World\u201d by the Union of World Young Turkish Writers. \u00a0On May of 2013 in Turkey she got Honorary Decree of KIBATEK, Honorary Decree of Okan university of Turkish Republic, on December of 2014 she got Honorary Decree and official thanking letter. In 2014 she was honored with the International Prize of Akif Samad by \u00a0Union of Turkish Activist Artisans. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On August of 2015 she was honored with Honorary Decree by Turkish Art Platforum. \u00a0Since May of 205 she is grant-holder of the President of Azerbaijan Republic<\/span><\/span>She is \u00a0received the honorary decree of the Pablo Neruda Cultural Association in Italy (KIBATEK-39) and premia International Gold Bridge in Bari Aldo Moro University’s \u00a0(2016). The International Award “Rasul Rza” in Azerbaijan and Mikayil Mushfig Prize, literary prize “Honor Service” from Kirkuk Cultural Center in<\/span><\/span> Iraq. The poet won the competition <\/span><\/span>“Veliero” film and literary competition held in 2017 in<\/span><\/span> Calabria, \u00a0Italy. <\/span><\/span>A number of articles have been published about her literary activity in the scientific and literary press of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russian, Greek, Germany, Uzbekistan. In Turkey her two books \u201cThey will recognize me from my love\u201d <\/span><\/span>(\u0130<\/span><\/span>zmir, 2013,) \u201cThe poem that I didn\u2019t write to you\u201d (Ankara ,2013) have been publi<\/span><\/span>shed. Including her monograph <\/span><\/span>\u201c The decent \u00a0follower of the Great generation\u201d about Kamal Talibzade , the eminent literary critic, Academic of Azerbaijan \u00a0( Baku, 2012) , \u00a0t<\/span><\/span>he poetry collection \u00a0of \u201c The Whisper of Grief\u201d, (Baku, 2007) textbooks titled as \u201cThe creative problems of literature and literary critic \u201c \u00a0( Baku, 2009) , a scientific book titled as \u201c From the literature to eternity\u201d (Baku, 2015) have been published. <\/span><\/span>In 2017 the monograph “The Azerbaijani prose and <\/span><\/span>criticism” was published and <\/span><\/span>awarded with the honorary decree of the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Each evening<\/span><\/span> a hope passed away inside of you<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Each evening a new grief was born there. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You shed tears to empty your heart, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But you were drown in of your own tears.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Only in your dreams your husband caressed you, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Only in dreams your wishes took wings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They spoke about your false devotion, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But you never were satisfied with your destiny.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You turned to a statue at the window, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Like the gravestone of the dead love.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Neither spring, nor summer warmed your heart, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Like that autumn and winter of the life.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You kept the fragrant memories, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Only they are left from that love.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It is an add destiny, after marriage, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You are called married, but you feel lonely.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I grew<\/b> up<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I was left on the crossroads, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I grow up choosing my own way.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I passed through the aches<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That filled into my inside.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I was interested with a strange wish, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I directed towards light and sound.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I drunk off the love <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I grew up drinking such loves.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I took hands of the expectation, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I was lost in the corners of life.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I cut the grief to my height<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I grew up in this way.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My spirit was invaded thousand times, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I took shelter only in the hemistiches.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A fire was made inside of my heart<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But I didn\u2019t burn, I grew up being experienced.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You<\/b> <\/span><\/span>can\u2019t<\/b> draw<\/b> my<\/b> picture<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You can draw a picture of a tree or a stone<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You can draw picture of fading winter in spring<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You can take all what you see in this world, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You can\u2019t draw my picture\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You can resemble my eyes and eyelashes, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Even you can find the color of my word.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You can draw the blind patience inside of me, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You can\u2019t draw my picture.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe you can draw the heart of a stranger, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe you may knock down the expectation \u00a0in my inside.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe you may pour my spirit into the paints, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You can\u2019t draw my picture.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My image will always be in front of your eyes, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But you can\u2019t be able to see my own being.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Your lifetime may be over, but that picture won\u2019t be over, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
