Lee Kuei-shien\uff08b. 1937\uff09began to write poems in 1953, became a member of the International Academy of Poets in England in 1976, joined to establish the Taiwan P.E.N. in 1987, elected as Vice-President and then President of it, and served as chairman of National Culture and Arts Foundation from 2005 to 2007. Now, he is Vice President for Asia in Movimiento Poetas del Mumdo\uff08PPdM\uff09since 2014, the organizer of Formosa International Poetry Festival. His poems have been translated and published in Japan, Korea, Canada, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Yugoslavia, Romania, India, Greece, USA, Spain, Brazil, Mongolia, Russia, Latvia, Cuba, Chile, Nicaragua, Bangladesh, Macedonia, Turkey Poland, Serbia, Portugal, Malaysia, Italy, Mexico and Morocco.<\/p>\n
Published works include \u201cCollected Poems\u201d in six volumes, 2001, \u201cCollected Essays\u201d in ten volumes, 2002, \u201cTranslated Poems\u201d in eight volumes, 2003, \u201cAnthology of European Poetry\u201d in 25 volumes, 2001~2005, \u201cElite Poetry Series\u201d in 38 volumes, 2010~2017, and others in total more than 200 books. His poems in English translation include \u201cLove is my Faith\u201d, 1997, \u201cBeauty of Tenderness\u201d, 2001, \u201cBetween Islands\u201d, 2005, \u201cThe Hour of Twilight\u201d, 2010, \u201c20 Love Poems to Chile\u201d, 2015,\u201cExistence or Non-existence\u201d, 2017, and \u201cSculpture & Poetry\u201d, 2018. The book \u201cThe Hour of Twilight\u201d has been translated into English, Mongol, Russian, Romanian, Spanish, French, Korean, Bengali, Serbian, Albanian, Turkish and German, and yet to be publishedin Macedonian and Arabic languages.<\/p>\n
