George Onsy<\/strong> (b. 1953)\u00a0<\/strong>is\u00a0<\/strong>an Egyptian thinker, poet, artist, and Professor of English and Art-architecture History at The Egyptian-Russian University, Cairo, as well as other academies. His outstanding works of poetry and art calling for a universal unifying spirituality have been published in his books: VOICES FROM ETERNITY-India 2014, LET\u2019S BE ONE IN THE ONE-India 2017 (Amazon), and WITH OSCAR WILD (Bookemon), as well as in many international anthologies, magazines, e-zines, and TV interviews.\u00a0He is a recipient of several awards notably “The Global Icon of Peace Award\u201d-2017 and \u201cThe Most Outstanding Peace Poet-2017\u201d – 2018 (Nigeria) and \u201cThe Best Poet Award\u201d-2017 (World Nation Writers Union, Kazakhstan), UME-Latina America.<\/p>\n

Reaching out to the world in 6 international languages, George Onsy is the Founder-President of the international peacemaking association RINASCIMENTO-RENAISSANCE Millennium III – RRMIII and has been lately nominated by many thinkers, writers and conference organizers round the world for Nobel Prize.<\/p>\n

Many of George\u2019s poems have been published in more than 60 international anthologies and featured in poetry magazines and broadcast in different countries. His works have also been translated into different international languages like Telugu, Odia, for India as well as Chinese, Greek, Italian, Spanish. He himself also writes poetry, in Arabic, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Russian beside English.<\/p>\n

Feeding the thankless<\/p>\n

From your fields and trees?<\/p>\n

O Earth, Stop! Stop! Stop!<\/p>\n

Every time you spin<\/p>\n

Your dwellers fight<\/p>\n

Where none will ever win.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t you feel sorry, unhappy<\/p>\n

Offering yourself to those<\/p>\n

Who’re losing\u00a0your keys?<\/p>\n

O Earth, Stop! Stop! Stop!<\/p>\n

Every time you revolve<\/p>\n

Your tenants make problems<\/p>\n

They never want to solve.<\/p>\n

Haven\u2019t you been steady, ready<\/p>\n

With the wisdom of survival<\/p>\n

For those who have become<\/p>\n

So violent, so suicidal?<\/p>\n

O Earth, Stop! Stop! Stop!<\/p>\n

Your volcanos, hurricanes<\/p>\n

Tsunamis, pandemics<\/p>\n

Everyone owes and fears!<\/p>\n

Yes, we\u2019ll repent, watering<\/p>\n

The green we denuded<\/p>\n

You from, dear mum,<\/p>\n

With floods of tears.<\/p>\n

So, earth, Stop! Stop! Stop!<\/p>\n

To start dancing instead,<\/p>\n

Roll with our dreams<\/p>\n

Where we\u2019ll escort you<\/p>\n

With your countless flowers!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll breathe out an\u2019 spread<\/p>\n

Your fresh breeze<\/p>\n

Through the whole universe<\/p>\n

To echo the resurrection hymn<\/p>\n

To all the generations<\/p>\n

Of our dead!<\/p>\n

My joys and sorrows<\/p>\n

Though heard<\/p>\n

In many languages.<\/p>\n

I have one skin<\/p>\n

That feels caresses<\/p>\n

And whip\u2019s lashes<\/p>\n

Though looks<\/p>\n

In many colors.<\/p>\n

I have one heart<\/p>\n

Beating on rhythms<\/p>\n

Of likes and dislikes<\/p>\n

Of faith and doubt<\/p>\n

Though following<\/p>\n

Many religions.<\/p>\n

I have one mind<\/p>\n

That tries to tell me<\/p>\n

It\u2019s Our ONE God\u2019s Grace<\/p>\n

Of MULTICULTURALISM.<\/p>\n

Didn\u2019t survive the deadly serpents’ bites<\/p>\n

The first, the Revolution\u2019s martyr,<\/p>\n

For his patriotism<\/p>\n

The second, for challenging<\/p>\n

Through his \u2018Faust\u2019 all devil\u2019s pacts<\/p>\n

Some think that Trojan Horse<\/p>\n

Is galloping over the abyss between<\/p>\n

Yesterday\u2019s myth and today\u2019s facts.<\/p>\n

Oh, if only ENGLAND\u2019s Shakespeare<\/p>\n

Had sketched in his plays any leader,<\/p>\n

Somewhere between his retired King Lear<\/p>\n

And imperialism-addicted Macbeth!<\/p>\n

But as both are now powerless penniless<\/p>\n

In the playwright\u2019s inky graveyard,<\/p>\n

Some may think that foreseeing<\/p>\n

Trojan Horse\u2019s reincarnation<\/p>\n

Is not that hard<\/p>\n

Wait! Let me try to ask ITALY\u2019s Dante<\/p>\n

Who\u2019s still busy building an endless ladder<\/p>\n

Between his \u2018Inferno\u2019 and \u2018Paradiso\u2019:<\/p>\n

Have you mentioned in your \u2018Comedia\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n

A thousand and one Troys<\/p>\n

Where every \u2018Laocoonian party<\/p>\n

Is condemned for being too wise?<\/p>\n

Some would ask: But should Trojan Horse<\/p>\n

Always be of such a massive size?<\/p>\n

But at Dante\u2019s Paradise,<\/p>\n

Though unmentioned,<\/p>\n

SPAIN\u2019s Cervantes<\/p>\n

Who had once been trodden<\/p>\n

By past horses wild<\/p>\n

Has been always there<\/p>\n

Ready to send his Don Quixote<\/p>\n

Who has taught the whole world<\/p>\n

How we should be ridiculous in order<\/p>\n

To secure our crazy dreams<\/p>\n

Thus, he finds no shame to ride<\/p>\n

That ever-pregnant wooden horse<\/p>\n

For whatever its bowels would bring<\/p>\n

There will be no risk \u2026 yes \u2026<\/p>\n

Remember all parties, all factions,<\/p>\n

All unions, all camps, all sects<\/p>\n

That the past plaguing horse<\/p>\n

Had no rider, no spur, no bridle<\/p>\n

Today, to keep peace alive, we should say:<\/p>\n

Where there\u2019s a horse there is a horseman.<\/p>\n

That what I\u2019ve guessed, dear Europe,<\/p>\n

From your Renaissance heroes\u2019 works,<\/p>\n

And that what a coming-soon Renaissance<\/p>\n

Of no arms but only banners white<\/p>\n

Will bloodlessly put into action<\/p>\n

So, let\u2019s wait for the Prophetic Knight!<\/p>\n
