Xu Duoyu, born in Jinzhai County, Anhui Province in 1983, is an outstanding contemporary poet, novelist and artist in China. He has published more than 20 books, including novels, essays, poems and plays. I want to invent a war machine called Peace
\nIt\u2019s the most powerful intelligent weapon in the world
\nIt goes where there is conflict
\nIt will stop all wars<\/p>\n

When they pull triggers, the bullets coming out of muzzles
\nWill be instantly atomized and become fresh air
\nLetting soldiers panting in nervousness
\nEasily breathe<\/p>\n

Missiles and shells fired from ships and battle fields
\nWill be completely shattered as they fly toward the top of the parabola
\nExplosives turn into powdered carbon, compressed into diamonds
\nMetal shells and warheads will be crushed in a second
\nInto clouds of iron dust smaller than sand
\nLike dust falling lightly from the sky
\nTo replenish those mines that are running out<\/p>\n

This war machine called Peace
\nWill appear in every tense battle at the first time
\nSo no one will die any more
\nWhen humans can no longer hurt each other
\nAll the hatred will be gone
\nAmong people only compassion and care will be left
\nTill the end the world is full of love.<\/p>\n

The Cold Winter Is Coming<\/strong><\/p>\n

The report says that this winter will be the coldest winter,
\nThe longest winter ever. Chairs will freeze.
\nAccounts will freeze. All flames will freeze.
\nHearts are cold, but desires are still strong.
\nBy then we will sit on benches and pray.
\nThe snow will close all the doors that are open to the outside.
\nAvalanches will block all roads to freedom.
\nPeople still keep extremely calm.
\nA cold wave from Siberia will sweep across Eurasia
\nThe bitter cold wind will rush into every house, taking away all the heat.
\nPassions will stop flowing. Beautiful dreams will freeze.
\nPeople are struggling in the merciless reality.
\nEventually they will become careless and callous ice sculptures,
\nKeeping icy eyes on the cruelty of war,
