Bal\u00e1zs, Hungary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Attila F. Bal\u00e1zs, Hungary Member of the Board\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Attila F. Bal\u00e1zs<\/strong>, Hungarian writer, poet, literary translator, publisher was born in Targu Mures \/ Marosv\u00e1s\u00e1rhely (Transylvania) on January 15th, 1954.<br \/>\nHe studied at the Theological College in Alba Iulia \/ Gyulafeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r between 1973-1976, and from 1977 he studied librarian specialisation and literary translation in Bucharest, where he graduated in 1982. Between 1978-1989 he was Chief librarian of the County Library in Miercurea Ciuc \/ Cs\u00edkszereda. Since 1990 he lives in Slovakia. He was the editor of the newspapers Nap (1990-1991), \u00daj Sz\u00f3 (1991) and Szabad \u00dajs\u00e1g (1992) in Bratislava \/ Pozsony, as well as the reporter of the Slovak Radio (1990-1995) and the manager of the Mad\u00e1ch Publishing House (1993). In 1994 he established the publishing house AB-ART, since then he is the company\u2019s managing director. Attila F. Bal\u00e1zs is the chief editor of the literary journal Sz\u0151r\u00f6s K\u0151. He has received several literary awards (Mad\u00e1ch, Lucian Blaga, Arghezi, Eminescu).<br \/>\nHe is a member of Slovakian, Hungarian and Romanian writers\u2019 federations and Vice President of the Hungarian PEN Club.<br \/>\nMany of his poems and short stories were translated into English, Romanian, Czech, Slovakian, Slovenian, Turkish, Serbian, Macedonian, Albanian, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Swedish and French.<\/p>\n<p><strong>His major works include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.
