The World Congress of Poets 2026 will be held in Prishtina, Kosovo, from September 25 to 30, 2026, bringing together distinguished poets, writers, translators, scholars, and cultural representatives from around the world. The Congress aims to promote intercultural dialogue, literary cooperation, and the universal values of poetry as a bridge among peoples and cultures.

September 25, 2026 (Friday)

Arrival and Official Opening Ceremony

  • Arrival of international delegates and poets at Prishtina International Airport.
  • Transfer and accommodation at the official Congress at Emerald hotel.
  • Registration of participants.

19:30 – Official Opening Ceremony

  • Venue: Exclusive Hall of the Congress Hotel.
  • Welcome addresses by organizers and distinguished guests.
  • Introduction of participating delegations.

    • Prizren Fortress

  • Return to Prishtina by bus.

  • One of Kosovo’s most remarkable natural monuments, internationally known for its rare marble crystal formations.

  • Selected readings by 20 poets in the unique natural setting of the cave.
