International Writers Association “Pjetër Bogdani”
The International Writers Association “Pjetër Bogdani” (IWA Bogdani) has awarded the annual “Bogdani” Prizes for the year 2026, honoring distinguished international personalities in the field of literature. According to the official certificates, the awards are granted with special motivations for high achievements in poetry, translation, and international literary activity. These annual prizes are presented every year on February 17.
This year’s laureates are:

Elina Nariman (Iran) – “For institutional performance in World Congress of Poetry”

Ayhan Niyanci (Azerbaijan) – “For high level in Poetry and international performance”

Mariela Cordero (Venezuela) – For high level in poetry and international presence

Tang Shi (China) – For high level in poetry and international performance

Yu Xia (China) – For high level in poetry and international translation

Stanley H. Barkan (USA) – “International Poet of the Year”

Maria Lisella (USA) – For high level in poetry and international performance

Adelina Pali (Albania) – For high level in poetry and international poetic activities
IWA “Pjetër Bogdani,” headquartered in Brussels and Prishtina, is an international literary organization that promotes cultural dialogue, human values, and cooperation among writers worldwide. It organizes congresses, festivals, publications, and literary awards, serving as a bridge between different cultures and languages. Through the “Bogdani” Prizes, the association aims to affirm high-quality creativity an d encourage the spirit of solidarity and peace through the art of the written word.
